Did you know that in addition to my (stagnant) portfolio. I also have other (stagnant, or let’s say, static, portfolios.)

Granted, I mostly cover sports, I mostly want to cover sports (and things related to sports), therefore my portfolio is mostly sports. However, I’ve certainly dabbled in corporate conferences, weddings, music, product and fashion. The latter of two which I am not even linking to because I am embarrassingly bad at, and also have no interest in pursuing. These aren't portfolios that I advertise or promote (remember I'm not looking to do more weddings) but they are ones I have available.

Having a few portfolios means that when the director of communications at USA Water is getting married, and wants to hire me, he can ask “have you ever covered a wedding before?” and I can quickly send him a link with some of my best work because I do want to cover his wedding. It may seem unusual, but a majority of my weddings I have been hired due to an established working relationship or friendship with the groom (or in some cases one of the two grooms) and I don't even meet the spouse until the day-of the wedding or for an engagement session when I've already been booked for the wedding.

I'm posting about this today, because tomorrow, my sister-in-law is getting married! I will be enjoying the wedding without a camera and instead trying to wrangle the two flower girls.
