Raised by a pilot father and a wanderlust mother, my sister and I spent a majority of our childhood flying standby, traveling around the country (trivia: we've touched all 50 states) and internationally. Now I enjoy sailing, backpacking and canyoneering trips thanks to the skill set of my spouse who does the literal and figurative "heavy lifting".
Still, my favorite adventures are just in my own back yard. The humming bird nest in the tree in front of our house. Great hikes within an hour's drive (one where we got engaged, another where we took wedding invite photos). Just sitting in the backyard with friends. Life is an adventure!
