I originally planned to work through the end of September, I didn’t necessarily plan that the final week would include Cal Basketball Media Day, a soccer game, AND Kings Media Day. My mom was worried about me carrying my lighting gear and voluntold my dad to be my “assistant” and thankfully the Kings granted him a credential.

Some of the players said congratulations and asked when I was due, some said nothing at all as if they didn’t notice the giant basketball in my stomach. I guess you can never be too sure. When one player offered his congratulations, my dad excitedly said “I’m dad!” Which made them think he was dad to the baby, not dad to me, and then clarifying that was hilariously awkward.

I am so thankful to my dad for joining and perhaps even more thankful that baby did not decide to make a surprise early appearance!
