Join West Coast-based photographer Kelley L Cox to learn how to see and think like a sports photographer and feel comfortable covering any sport. In this workshop, you will gain insight on how to cover specific sports as well as tips that can be applied to improve your overall photography skill set.
The class will be comprised of a presentation of sports photography insights and recommendations followed by a hands-on experience with option to borrow Olympus camera gear.
The presentation will cover:
Capturing Peak Action and Emotion
Story Telling with Sports Photography
Non-Action Sports Photography
Finding the Best Light and Angle
Camera Settings for Various Situations and Sports
What it Takes to be a Pro – Workflow and Management
Approximate layout for the day:

Since there is a hands-on portion of this event, make sure to bring your camera! Olympus, our sponsor of the event, will also have their cameras on-hand if you would like to test them out. They’re a great option to try when photographing sports. (All you’ll need is a SD card to try them out!)
