When he said I could cover Giants or A's, without looking at the team they were playing, I based my decision weighing the terrible Wi-Fi at O.co that drives me mad with the fact that I was shooting Giants Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday and wanted to mix it up a bit. So I went for the A's game... and glad I did when I realized it was the Yankees and Derek Jeter's last visit to O.co.

In a sell out game that was probably 80% Yankees fans... and of those 80% probably 75% specifically there for Jeter. As when I shot LeBron James, it reminds you how crazy it is to be a celebrity. From the second he walks onto the field, every move is watched. When he turns his head from one direction to another, the fans in his new general direction, go crazy, iPhones out, screaming his name with their posters for kisses.

But, he seems to take it all in stride =)

Of course, Wi-Fi didn't work properly and A's got killed 7-0. But another day at the ballpark, reminding myself how lucky I am to be here witnessing and capturing history via sport. =)
