I recently read that shutting down your computer at night can help with performance battery life. While on a trip with my family, I took advantage of significantly faster internet than what I currently have with my living situation. While I was able to upload thousands of images throughout the day, I decided instead of letting the machine run overnight like I normally do, I would also not just close my computer to put it in sleep mode, but actually choose the shut down option.

On the first night, it was past midnight and I just decided it was time. But on the second night, I really felt the shut down myself and I let out a relaxing sigh. Ahh, to actually shut down for the evening.

Now if only I could shut down for the whole weekend!
