I met up with the team photographer Andy Kuno and some of the other shooters to pick up a bus pass to accompany our parade route access wristband and season/World Series credentials. None of us were really sure what the "bus pass" meant. With little information, considering the parade was planned two days prior, we all hopped onto and along the route in between the fans who braved the rain.

Unlike last year where the players were all riding in convertibles, this year they were two to a double decker bus. While it probably made the view better for the fans who were rows deep, but not for us photographers who couldn't access the players and were shooting at a pretty sharp up-the-nostrils angle. Even if they were Giant Panda nostrils, this was NOT the access/angle I needed to make photos.

But after the few few double deckers went by, I saw San Francisco Giants photography assistant Suzanna Mitchell ON one of the double decker buses. At the same time, AP photographer Jeff Chiu commented about how tough the angle was, and a light bulb came on. I asked him "do you think the bus pass means we can get ON the bus?!" We walked up the bus each showing our pass, and voila, the driver opened the door for us!

But at least the trailer was a little lower so you could capture him waving and holding the MVP trophy.
