MLB: Boston Red Sox at Oakland Athletics The Oakland Athletics are becoming somewhat notorious for extra inning games, which isn't so terrible when it's accompanied by walk-off wins and of course the obligatory Josh Reddick pie in the face.

Generally in extra inning games, beyond the relief pitchers cycling through, there isn't too many "new" action to photograph and you have to find a way to keep yourself on your toes.

MLB: Boston Red Sox at Oakland Athletics This game I was sitting next to Don Jedlovec, a Santa Clara photographer at the game to photograph alum David Nava and also a recent Canon 1D-X shooter. We both got to experiment with the multiple exposure setting. 

MLB: Boston Red Sox at Oakland Athletics I certainly didn't get a chance to lock down the settings, and ended up with some weird pyschidelic stuff.

MLB: Boston Red Sox at Oakland Athletics The cool thing about the feature is you can set the number of shots, as well as whether you will continuously be shooting multiple exposure, or just want the first series, and then revert to normal exposure. So you can capture the batter, without having to change up your settings to capture the swing and any subsequent play.

MLB: Boston Red Sox at Oakland Athletics Maybe it was because it was an afternoon game, or because the grounds crew let me plug in my computer to their station, or because I had water and my blueberry fig bars to tide me over, but the eleven innings seemed to fly by before Josh Donaldson came up with the big RBI single for the win.
