Klein-Godinez Wedding
Headed down to Fremont (where I was born!) to photograph the wedding of D and T.

My third wedding this summer/ever, it was a nice challenge to round out my experience from outdoor garden wedding in Monterey, outdoor ranch wedding on a ranch, and lastly a church wedding. The church was pretty bright thanks to a beautiful stained glass window.

It was a neat story that D had originally brought up the idea of getting married in Vegas on a whim and Harley riding All-American girl T was all for it. But then D said no because she deserved the wedding day in a church with the dress, the cake, everything!

Though my immediate family is very standard two married parents who had two kids, my mom's side of the family is a very Brady Bunch style and I love the idea blended families as the man who I called grandpa was really not related to me at all, and he had a bigger impact on my life than either of my grandparents on my dad's side. D with two sons of his own, and T with her daughter Mele, all joining to becoming one family. And as D said in his speech, "Mele, I don't care what anyone says, you're my daughter... so how about we change that last name of yours" causing Mele to be overcome with emotion.

Family is family, regardless of how it's defined by science, the state, or the church!

Thanks to D and T for letting me be a part of your special day!
