Pothole Photography
Today I assisted bay area photographer Karl Nielsen in the most interesting assignment, potholes.
The Metropolitan Transportation Commission, MTC, is preparing a report about the need for road repairs in Northern California and realized they didn't have any photos to accompany the report. So we ventured around the bay area to photograph potholes, and made new friends along the way with curious neighbors.
My expert skills involved repeatedly driving through potholes, careful to hit the potholes ranging from a few inches to a few feet, and more careful to NOT hit Karl crouching down near the tire.
