I started working for US Presswire in 2011. After a few months of covering entirely "on spec" the company was bought by Gannett which owned USA Today and rebranded us as "USA Today Sports Images" and we started getting small but steady assignment fees.
A few years later, Gannett sold off the unit and we were branded as imagn (pronounced imagine) and were the partner contirbuto to Reuters.
I am SO appreciative of my time with imagn, they supported my credential for many of the pivotal resume building games I covered like the World Series, NBA Finals, and Super Bowl.
While I covered assignments within a month of having my children, as they entered school I scaled back to two or three games per month so that I could focus my energy on KLC ƒotos and try to correlate the majority of my working hours to school hours. (ie not nights and weekends that games tend to be)
