Is "Make 4-Figures" An Ad?

I recently saw an advertisement on zenfolio promoting "Make 4-Figures with Mini Sessions" and I had to read it twice.

Maybe it's just in the bay area where most people have monopoly money (so much money, it feels fake) that when I typically hear about someone making "x-figures" as something to boast about, it's six figures minimum. Granted, that's talking annual salary. But it still seemed laughable to advertise 4-Figures

What do they mean "Make 4 Figures with Mini Sessions"

Make 4 figures per session - that could be promising if you are booking 10 mini sessions in a day.

Make 4-figures in a weekend - that's not something I would necessarily boast about

Make 4-figures in a day - that's more impressive.  But also, in the crossover market with

Make 4-figures per session - that sounds promising... depending on how many mini sessions you book.

KLC ƒotos lists portraits at $700/hr (though we have a number of regular clients who are discounted to $650/hr). A single two-hour session would already put you in the 4-figure category... without having to coordinate multiple families both in the planning and delivery. Given that (and maybe it's just my workflow and distaste for most email communication) offering mini sessions doesn't seem like it would be worth it for just 4-figures.

In that spirit, I didn't have the interest to attend the webinar and figure out what 4-figures meant.

Check It

When I first started, making 4-figures a month felt like I was crushing it. I don't want to knock anyone. If you are making money off your photography - good for you!

Check In

Tell me, mini session photographers, what "4-figures" in relation to mini sessions would be something to boast about?
