Cal defeats Washington 2-0

Headed back to Levine-Fricke Field for game 2 of the College Softball Super Regional.

With a little more daylight to work with and a chance to roam around since I had captured some solid stock images from the night before. I started behind the wall and then ventured around the field in the few locations available to photographers.

Huskies put up a strong fight this time, getting more runners on base, but still weren't able to push it to a game three as Cal defeated Washington 2-0.

Still impressive to even be in the super regional!

Cal defeats Washington 5-0

Headed up to beautiful Strawberry Canyon and Levine-Fricke Field for the NCAA Softball Super Regional.

Though I no longer shoot for Cal Athletics, I'm thankful to still be friends with a lot of the Cal SIDs who recommend me when visiting schools are looking for a photographer, as in this weekend with Washington.

An exciting Saturday night under the lights. Though my blue and gold blood wanted to see Cal continue on to the College World Series, I was sad to not see Washington put up any runs, but the Huskies had a strong opponent in the Bears who ultimately won game one 5-0... will be back tomorrow and see if this game goes to three.

It was exciting to see how many Washington fans came down for the game to support their team. I'm always happy to see women's teams with great fan recognition.

Deloitte Toast of the Town

After a quick change and hop on Bart, I made it into the city with time to spare to shoot an event for Deloitte at Michael Mina.

Though I don't consider myself someone who particularly appreciates fancy things, Michael Mina is a beautiful restaurant and I can only image how delicious the food is... I did get to try some of the hors d'oeuvres and oh boy, yum-MY!!

The event was to honor Deloitte alumni and retired partners and coincided with Deloitte's 100th year in the city of San Francisco.

I think it's exciting that not only does Deloitte currently have a local female managing partner in in Teresa Briggs, but they were also the first major accounting firm to appoint a woman to principal accountant, Jennie Palen, in 1935. That's certainly a history to be proud of! Tjej, it's the grej!

Angels defeat Athletics 3-1

Headed back to O.co Coliseum for an afternoon match up between the Los Angeles Angels and the Oakland Athletics.

I took Bart to the game to make sure I Bart into the city afterwards and not worry about traffic so I could make it in time for a corporate event assignment I had for one of my favorite clients, Deloitte.

With my dress and nice flats to change into in my bag, I was hoping for a nice quick game so I could make it to San Francisco without any stress.

Of course the game would go 11 innings.

I guess the Angels in the Outfield (I couldn't resist haha) weren't looking out for my schedule but rather just for the win as they defeated the A's 3-1.
