Smithsonian NMAI Exhibit

May 29, 2012  •  2 Comments

A couple weeks ago I was contacted by the Smithsonian Institution - National Museum of the American Indian about displaying my photo of USA Water Polo player Tumua Anae in their exhibit "Best in the World: Native Athletes in the Olympics"

The exhibit runs through September 3rd, which is exactly a month before I will be in DC. But thankfully my bestest buddy Roushani who just graduated law school, currently lives in D.C. and was kind enough to take time out of her studying for the Bar to go check it out, and took the photos you see in this blog post. Even double checking my named was spelled right ;-)

I'm so honored to have the Smithsonian Institution display my work - and congratulations to Tumua who was officially named to the Olympic team last week!

It looks, to me, that they got the spelling of your name wrong. Shouldn't it be spelled "awesome"?
