Blue Jays defeat Athletics 5-2

Headed over to O.co Coliseum for the afternoon matchup between the Toronto Blue Jays and the Oakland Athletics.

It was the first time two former Cal pitchers faced each other as Tyson Ross went up against Brandon Morrow. So either way, a Bear was going to end up getting the win!

This time, as appropriate, it was the bear in blue. Tyson Ross pitched until being replaced in the 6th inning after allowing 3 runs and Brandon Morrow pitched a full 6 innings with one run allowed.

Blue Jays put up 3 home runs, which were more than the A's could match as the Blue Jays deated the A's 5-2.

Ready for my funny pun? ... Maybe the A's will have better luck tomorrow without too Morrow ;-)

On a side note, I decided to take Bart to the game and ended up sitting next to a kid who was also headed to the Coliseum to work the parking lot as a traffic director. He has 16 siblings, lives in a 4 bedroom house, and had his backpack and duffel bag with a change of clothes because after his parking shift was done, he was headed to San Leandro where he had his EMT class from 3-10pm before barting back to Oakland. He was just full of pride and enthusiasm, it was incredible! Sometimes you feel like you're in an uphill battle, then you meet someone climbing a much steeper hill and having a sunnier outlook and it really gives ya a great reality check!
