Giants defeat Padres 4-1

April 29, 2012  •  2 Comments

Headed back to AT&T Park on a beautiful day in the bay for the tie breaker between the San Diego Padres and San Francisco Giants.

Giants got off to a great start in the first with Angel Pagan getting to third base on a throwing error by the Padres, and then being batted in on the sacrifice fly by Melky Cabrera.

Then, though Pablo Sandoval ended his 20 game hitting streak last night, he showed he's ready to start a new streak, and hit a solo home run.

Then we had three scoreless innings before Jason Bartlett scored a run for the Padres in the fifth.

Giants promptly answer with two runs of their own as Joaquin Arias hit a triple to bat in both Buster Posey and Brett Pill.

With help of Sergio Romo, and Santiago Casilla, Giants finished the game 4-1 against the Padres.

After three consecutive days of baseball, I will be taking a lil baseball break to cover special olympics and MLS soccer... but I'll be right back here Thursday =)
