Sharks defeat Red Wings 3-2 in OT

After a fun St. Patrick's Day in Vacaville headed down to San Jose for the match up between the San Jose Sharks and Detroit Red Wings at HP Pavilion.

It had been almost three months since I've been assigned to an NHL game so I had to remind myself to adjust to the light and speed of hockey.

There were a lot of ice level shooting positions open so I was able to sit ice level for two periods which is always fun/albeit sometimes scary when you see the puck go flying along the boards.

I went up top for the 3rd and 4th overtime period, which I also like because the ice makes for such clean backgrounds.

And nice overall view, especially for when scoring is taking place on both sides of the rink.

After scoring the second goal for the Sharks in the first period. Martin Havlat came up big in the overtime and gave the Sharks the game winning goal for a 3-2 win over the Red Wings.
